Russian Railways give new advice on train station arrival times
Posted by Lucinda Martin on 16 May 2018 10:51 AM

Recommended arrival times at train stations have been updated; it is now recommended that you arrive at train stations a minimum of 1 hour before departure. This will allow you enough time to find the correct platform, ensure you have everything you need to board your train and find your reserved place before the train leaves.

We would recommend travellers with a lot of luggage which will need to be checked or those with bicycles who will need to purchase storage for them at the station arrive 2 hours before departure as there may be long queues at the stations.

This advice is particularly stressed for Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Rostov-on-Don stations during the World Cup as stations will be busier than usual.
